THCa Isolate

THCa, or tetrahydrocannabinolic acid, is the precursor to the psychoactive compound THC in cannabis. Plants must first be dried, cured, and processed correctly to make them. The THCa isolate is produced by separating THCa from all other compounds found in the cannabis plant, such as terpenes, flavonoids, fats, lipids, and other cannabinoids, through chromatography. This process allows specific compounds to be isolated from a plant’s organic matter and collected separately for further refinement.

After chromatography, the THCa isolate undergoes even more filtering and purification, where the THC molecules are heat-activated and removed, eventually leaving us with a crystal-clear hermit that is 99.9% pure.

Now let's get to the review. Like most concentrates, a dab rig is best due to the heat and overall process. So I broke out my handy rig and got everything ready to go. The product is a fine white powder with no discernable smell or taste. It's made with pure isolate, which is just as potent as any other THCa isolate. I tested it by performing the melt test, which passed with flying colors. When heating it, it turned a very light amber color and didn't resolidify on its own after decarbing.

It took just one hit to feel the effects, starting with a minor head high that slowly trickled down my body. It wasn't a high so much as a relaxing feeling that overtook my body and made me feel good. I was pleased by the feeling. I took another dab, and I was even more relaxed and not overpowered by the concentrate, which was great.
